Awareness-raising is a fundamental component of primary prevention strategies aiming at:

-
changing attitudes and behaviours of men and women towards issues such as early child marriage, domestic violence and child abuse.
-
creating consciousness regarding Human Rights, Voting Rights, Democracy and Democratic Good Governance, Sexual and Reproductive Health & Rights and Life Skilled-based Education.

Awareness-raising campaigns are recognised as the most efficient and effective means of communicating information especially to the general public. They can meet all the above mentioned objectives, emphasizing the fact that these are not private matters. Awareness raising is a two-way street, fostering communication and information exchange in order to improve mutual understanding as well as mobilising communities and the whole society to bring about the necessary change in attitudes and behavior.

Dream Foundation Trust’s Awareness & Advocacy Program is playing an effective role in comprehending community to their issues through Seminar, Public Forums, Sessions, Training workshops, and theatre. While addressing the issues, there is also an advocacy part which is effective to deciphering matters of community through solidarity with community and engaging Youths.
